Lead pigments are extremely opaque; therefore, a relatively small amount of the compound can cover a large area.<\/p><p>Some types of lead are insoluble in water, making the paint highly water-resistant.<\/p><p>However, lead is a known toxin which can cause a wide variety of health risks; from vomiting to madness to death.<\/p><p>The maximum safe limit for the amount of lead in paint
