Rockwell Hardness Test

Purpose of Test:
Measurement of hardness of metallic and/or organic coated steel sheet.

Preliminary force is applied on the sheet. The resistance of steel to this indentation is measured and expressed as Rockwell and Superficial Hardness.

For Rockwell Test preliminary load is 10kgf and total forces are 60kgf, 100kgf & 150kgf.
For Rockwell Superficial test preliminary load is 3kgf and total forces are 15kgf, 30kgf & 45kgf.

Device/Machine: Rockwell Hardness Tester

External Calibration Frequency:

o  Rockwell Hardness Tester: Once a week.

Approximate  Test Duration: 

o  Sample preparation and Test time: 30 minutes.
